A New Hampshire man was charged at the hospital after police concluded that he injected himself with heroin minutes before he crashed his car head on with a parked semi truck.

Reportedly Impaired Motorist Crashes Into Parked Delivery Truck

The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. yesterday on South Beach Street in Manchester, New Hampshire. Police say that 33 year old motorist Christopher Langill was driving north on South Beach Street, then swerved into the southbound lane. Langill then swerved back into the northbound lane, where he collided head-on with a truck parked facing southbound while the driver made a delivery.

Langill and his 26 year old passenger sustained serious injuries in the crash. The truck driver was outside of his vehicle making a delivery when the crash occurred and wasn’t hurt.

Motorist Charged With DUI In Hospital Bed

After speaking to witnesses, Manchester police determined that Langill had injected himself with heroin prior to the crash. He was charged with driving under the influence at the hospital and was booked in absentia.

Langill is scheduled to appear in court on July 13.
