MHP Responds To Disturbance At Wye Flying J
The Montana Highway Patrol was called out to the Flying J truck stop in Wye after  employees became concerned that a possibly drunk semi truck driver was trying to leave the facility. The caller told police that the driver was having trouble walking and had bloodshot eyes.
When troopers arrived at the truck stop, the manager reported that two employees had gone out into the parking lot to try to convince 53 year old driver Michael Allen McLane to shut off his truck engine as it was leaking fluid.

According to reports, McLane did turn off his truck and get out for a short time, but he then got back in and drove his truck toward the employees.Â
One of the employees stated that McLane “tried running over us” several times.
A truck stop employee was able to block the semi truck in by pulling his pickup truck in front of it.
McLane told troopers that he’d had four large beers but didn’t intend to drive. His BAC registered at 0.237, according to MHP.
McLane was arrested and charged with two felony counts of criminal endangerment and a misdemeanor count of DUI.
