The Arizona Department of Public Safety says that a semi truck driver is believed to have been shot while driving westbound along interstate near Buckeye this morning.

Arizona DPS is reporting that a semi truck driver was shot in the leg near I-10 and Verrado Way. The truck driver appears to have pulled off of the interstate safely.

DPS says that the truck driver has been taken to the hospital for treatment. There is no word on his condition at this time.

Trooper Kameron Lee says that it isn’t clear at this time whether the gunshot came from inside or outside of the truck.
