A Georgia trucker is facing homicide charges for the death of his wife in a hotel parking lot on Wednesday.

Pennsylvania Police Called To Scene Of Suspicious Death

Police were called to the View Inn and Suites hotel in Bethel Township, Pennsylvania, just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday to find 43-year-old Catrina Adams fatally injured in the parking lot with her husband kneeling over her.

Adam’s husband, 42-year-old truck driver Maurice “Butch” Adams, told police that his wife had been having fainting spells and had collapsed while holding on to the outside of his truck.

Police Issue Homicide Charge After Viewing Surveillance Video

However, when police viewed surveillance video, they witnessed the couple engaged in a domestic disturbance. In the video, Catrina Adams can be seen hanging on to the outside of the bobtail truck and then falling down. After she got up and fell a couple more times, the video shows the truck pulling away quickly and Catrina Adams lying on the ground where the driver’s side of the truck had been.

Maurice Adams did stop the truck and get out to check on her.

Catrina Adams was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

An autopsy revealed that Catrina Adams suffered a skull fracture. She also had bruising on her throat.

Maurice Adams has been arrested and charged with homicide, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment. He is being held without bail.
