Kansas City, Missouri, police are on the lookout for the driver of a pickup truck who reportedly opened fire on a truck driver during a road rage incident this morning.
The shooting was reported around 8:30 a.m. at I-435 and Bannister Road in Kansas City.

The truck driver told Kansas City police that he was attempting to change lanes to merge onto westbound I-435 when a motorist in a gold colored GMC pickup truck threw a bottle at him.
After throwing the bottle, the truck driver said that the pickup driver fired four or five shots at his passenger side window. The trucker said that the bullets “whizzed by his head.” Both the passenger side and driver’s side windows were shattered by gunfire.

The truck driver was not seriously hurt and was able to safely pull his truck over on State Line Road.
According to reports, the truck driver works for Tyson Trucking out of Olathe, Kansas.
The gunman is still at large. Kansas City police are asking any witnesses to the incident to call 816-474-TIPS.
