Trucker Kidnapped And Robbed At Gunpoint At Memphis Truck Stop

A semi truck driver survived a harrowing night after being kidnapped and robbed at a Pilot truck stop in Memphis, Tennessee, on Saturday.

Driver Edrick Dunn told Fox 13 that he rarely stops in Memphis when driving from Illinois to Texas. On Saturday afternoon, however, Dunn made an exception and pulled into the parking lot of a Pilot truck stop.

Three Armed Suspects Kidnap Trucker Leaving Restaurant

Dunn later ordered food at a nearby Church’s Chicken. He told Memphis police that when he came out of the restaurant, three men were waiting for him. Dunn said that the men forced him at gunpoint into a waiting car.

They took my chicken by the way and ate it right there in front of me,” Dunn remarked.

Dunn said that the men held him at gunpoint and demanded his keys, phone, wallet, and pin number. They stole thousands of dollars from Dunn, according to police.

After being held for hours, the suspects returned Dunn to his semi on Sunday morning. He said one of the suspects rode with him in his truck to West Memphis, Arkansas, before getting out of the truck and getting into a passenger vehicle that had been following the truck.
