Eric Church Tour Bus Driver Says He Was Threatened By Trucker With Screw Driver

Published:

A truck driver was arrested on suspicion of assault after allegedly threatening country star Eric Church’s tour bus driver with a screw driver during a road rage incident, according to local news outlet KWBE.

Church’s fourteen semi entourage arrived in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Wednesday to set up for a Friday night show as part of the star’s “Holdin’ My Own” tour.

Yesterday as Church’s tour bus driver was en route to pick up the singer and take him to Lincoln, he claimed that he was the victim of road rage.

Bus driver Charles Hickox III told police that a truck driver followed him off of I-80 near Greenwood. Hickox reported that he pulled into a Cubby’s Truck Plaza and called 911 after he said that the truck driver behind him displayed what he thought was a knife.

Hickox claimed that as he was on the phone with police, the truck driver attacked him with a screwdriver.

It is unclear if Hickox was injured by the alleged attack.

The Nebraska State Patrol arrested 50 year old truck driver 50-year-old Richard Zuhlke and charged him with suspicion of assault.
