Cleveland police are on the hunt for two suspects who shot a truck driver twice outside of a warehouse early this morning.
The shooting took place just before 2 a.m. at Gateway Warehouses, located at East 33rd Street and Perkins Avenue. When police arrived on the scene, they found a truck driver lying on the ground outside of the warehouse with two gunshot wounds.

The trucker told police that he had been exiting his truck when he was approached by two males. The suspects demanded the driver’s wallet. When he refused to give it up, they shot him in the leg. According to reports, the suspects robbed the truck driver after shooting him.
The truck driver was bleeding so heavily when police arrived that they applied a tourniquet until EMS arrived two minutes later. The trucker was taken to the hospital. His current condition it unknown.
Police say that without the tourniquet, the trucker could have died from his gunshot wounds.
According to WKYC, the truck driver was employed at Gateway Warehouses.
No arrests have yet been made. Police have not yet released descriptions of the suspects.
The incident is still under investigation.
