VIDEO: Police seek big rig driver involved in violent hit and run in Loma Linda

Published:

California police are searching for the driver of a big rig involved in a crash that injured three people in Loma Linda last month.

Police Seek Hit and Run Truck Driver

The crash happened just before 9 a.m. on August 14 on Mountain View Avenue.

Police say that a northbound semi hauling a shipping container was speeding when it rear-ended a Chevy Cobalt, pushing the car into oncoming traffic and causing it to crash into a southbound BMW. The BMW crashed into a light pole after hitting the Chevy Cobalt.

Three people were seriously hurt in the crash.

The truck driver did not stop.

Erika Zarate, who was inside the BMW, told NBC Los Angeles, “He doesn’t know if he killed someone or if he hurt someone. He just left and he’s just living his life when he changed our lives.

$5000 Reward Offered For Information Leading To Arrest

Though it is hard to tell from the footage of the crash, investigators say that the cab of the truck is blue and it is pulling an orange shipping container with the word “Triton” on the side.

Two of the people who were in the BMW are offering a $5000 reward for information that leads investigators to the truck driver. You can call (760) 799-1937 for more information about the reward. You can also call the Redlands Police Department.
