The suspect was assumed to be speeding towards Easton Hospital on Route 33.
On Tuesday, a Pennsylvania State Police trooper was shot at a traffic stop along the highway in Plainfield Township. The trooper attempted to arrest the suspect for impaired driving; however, things quickly got out of hand.
State police Capt. Richard D’Ambrosio said a “knock-down, drag-out fight” happened right before the suspect grabbed a firearm and shot the trooper 3 times.
Naturally, the trooper shot back. The trooper injured the suspect multiple times.
Thankfully, this driver was equipped with a dashcam in order to aid the investigation of this crime.
