Two North Carolina drivers watch helplessly as a suspect in a stolen big rig demolishes their cars.
The incident occurred during a three-county joy ride that took place on Tuesday. The incident began at a gas station in Lowell, North Carolina and came to an end in South Carolina. A truck driver left his rig unlocked and running as he ran inside the gas station for a few moments to get food. Fifty year old Terry Windell Keesley took advantage of the unlocked truck, taking the stolen vehicle on a joy ride that crossed state lines. Keesley was eventually arrested in Tega Cay, South Carolina, and faces felony charges. You can read more about the incident here.
The video was filmed by victim Robert Stowe on an I-485 off ramp. Stowe said that he was waiting at a stop light when saw the truck coming and tried to move over, but the stolen big rig still collided with his vehicle. Stowe, fearing that he might be crushed, jumped out after the crash. In the video, you can hear Stowe and a female driver pleading with Keesley to stop as his truck stalls after he crashes into the vehicles. You can also see Keesley ignoring their cries and continuing down the road in the stolen truck.
