The Smith County Sheriff’s Office has released body cam video of their capture of a suspect who stole a semi truck from a tire business.
Sheriff’s Deputies Bring Truck Thief To A Halt
The theft took place on August 12 when a truck was taken from a tire company off of Loop 323 NNW.
As deputies were responding to the call about the truck theft, they received a tip from a citizen who was behind the stolen vehicle. Officers were able to bring the truck to a stop near Loop 49 and State Highway 155.
In the video, you can watch as deputies perform a felony stop on the 38 year old truck thief.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
The suspect will face charges for the theft of the truck.
Police are still investigating the incident.
