VIDEO: Truck Slams Into Overpass On FDR Drive

A truck driver found out why semis aren’t allowed on FDR Drive in New York City this morning when he smashed into an overpass, causing his trailer to collapse.

The overpass strike happened in the southbound lanes of the FDR Drive around 7 a.m.

The truck was hauling carrots when it struck the 11’5″ concrete overpass.

No injuries were reported. The incident forced officials to shut down two lanes and caused a traffic snarl in the morning commute.

A truck hit an overpass on FDR Drive in the same area last Monday.

A passing motorist filmed as the truck struck the overpass. He wrote in an Instagram post “going to be a good day for me and a bad day for him!!!
