Yesterday a driverless truck caused a multi-vehicle crash when it rolled from a service plaza onto a busy Connecticut interstate.
The crash happened just before 2 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 in Darien. The runaway truck hit a box truck and a car. The box truck then struck another car before the crashed vehicles came to a stop against a concrete barrier.
One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
The truck driver was cited for leaving a motor vehicle on a highway without property setting the emergency brakes, according to Connecticut State Police.
