Last week a Colorado motorist captured stunning video of a runaway beer truck using the last truck arrestor ramp on Wolf Creek Pass.
The incident happened last Wednesday afternoon. According to Colorado State Police, 25 year old Missouri based truck driver Adam Catic was westbound U.S. 160 through Wolf Creek Pass when his brakes started smoking.
Motorist Rachel Smith was following the truck and said that the truck was traveling at speeds of 60 to 65 m.p.h. Smith captured the unbelievable footage of Catic taking the ramp on her cellphone.
Catic wasn’t hurt but he did spill his load of 41,000 pounds of Bud Light beer and energy drinks.
Just last month, the Colorado Department of Transportation issued a warning to truckers about the dangers of descending Wolf Creek Pass unprepared.
Do you cry over spilled beer? There was a whole load of it on Wolf Creek Pass. Great video. https://t.co/xGg5JyHy7X
