Washington I-82 Westbound Closed For Hours For Crashes

Icy roads and crashes forced Washington State transportation officials to shut down I-82 westbound near Outlook for hours today.

I-82 westbound from mile marker 63 to 58 has been shut down since the morning rush hour for a three semi, one car pileup. It has not yet reopened.

Eastbound I-82 was also shut down in the area, but has reopened.

There is no word on injuries from the crashes at this time.

There was also an earlier closure of I-82 in both directions from mile marker 54 near Wapato to mile marker 67 near Sunnyside starting around 7:30 a.m. Icy roads and crashes were also the cause of this closure.

That closure reopened at 9:30 a.m.
