High winds have forced the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) to forbid light, high profile vehicles on parts of I-80.
According to WYDOT, a portion of I-80 is closed to llght, high profile vehicles because of extreme blow over risk. Closures are expected to last until late tonight.

CDLLife reader Cyrin reports that “2 trucks are down west of Laramie and Elk Mountain so far. 60 – 70+ winds expected til late tonight.”
Drivers who fail to heed the ban on light high profile vehicles could face a fine of up to $750, 30 days in jail, or both, according to WYDOT.
