Averitt Express recently announced that they are offering a major pay boost to their dedicated drivers.
Noteworthy Pay Boost For Dedicated Drivers
As a token of appreciation for hard work that their employees do both on and off the road, Averitt Express has recently announced a major pay increase for dedicated solo drivers, team drivers, and switchers.
Under the increased pay structure, dedicated solo drivers will start at $0.48 cents per mile and then top out at $0.49 after 12 months.
Team dedicated route drivers will also take home bigger paychecks under the new pay structure. Team drivers will start out at $0.58 per mile, then move up to $0.59 after 6 months. Team drivers will move up to $.60 per mile after one year.
Student drivers are going to be earning more after the pay increase, starting out at $0.46 per mile after graduation and then earning $0.47 after 6 months After a year, student drivers will earn $0.48 per mile. After two years, pay again increases to $0.49 per mile.
Averitt is also increasing pay for switchers. Both daytime and switchers will see an hourly pay increase of $1, putting their hourly pay at $20 per hour for daytime switchers and $21 per hour for nighttime switchers.

“Flex Pay” Equals More Pay!
Additionally, Averitt has opted to increase “Flex Pay” for their drivers who work multiple dedicated accounts. Student drivers earning flex pay will start out at $0.44 per mile, then move up to $0.46 after a year. At eighteen months, the pay once again increases to $0.48 and after two years, drivers will earn $0.50 per mile.
Non-student dedicated drivers earning flex pay will now start out at $0.48 per mile, then move up to $ 0.49 after six months. At the one year mark, non-student drivers will earn $0.50 per mile.
