"I was heading down Pacheco pass and this happened," said the dash cammer

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has shared incredible dash cam video of a two truck crash that left Pacheco Pass covered in apple sauce.

The crash happened on Wednesday, November 28 on SR 152 through mountainous Pacheco Pass. Dash cam video of the incident was first shared by YouTube user JPtrucking, who wrote, “I was heading down Pacheco pass and this happened.

Apple Truck

In the video, you can see the dash cammer in the left lane passing a truck loaded up with apples that is driving in the right lane with hazards flashing.

Moments later, the dash cammer, who has moved back over to the right lane, comes upon stopped traffic and is able to safely bring his truck to a halt.

Suddenly, the apple truck screams into view, plowing through the grass off of the roadway at a high rate of speed before overturning and hitting another semi truck in the right lane.

The truck’s load of apples splattered all over the roadway after the crash.

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.

The video was later shared by the CHP – Gilroy Commercial Enforcement Facility’s Facebook page. CHP has not yet said why the apple truck driver lost control.
