Wind Whips Truck Into Guardrail

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-5 in Tracy. The California Highway Patrol said the semi-truck crashed through the guardrail and partially drove off the flyover bridge, leaving the truck partially dangling off of I-5 over I-580 below. Officers say slippery roads and strong winds are to blame.

The semi-truck was left hanging off the overpass on Interstate 5 at the Interstate 580 flyover for hours. The interstate was closed for hours while crews worked to remove the truck. All lanes were reopened around 8 p.m.

No one was injured in the accident.
