Get a closer look at what it takes to move a 200 ton transformer

If you’re a fan of super-heavy hauling, you’ve got to take a look at this in-depth dive into what it takes to move a transformer weighing more than 200 tons.

The video created by BigRig Videos combines drone footage, CB radio audio, and video filmed up close and personal on the ground to give you a feel for what crews with Florida-based Beyel Brothers Crane and Rigging had to do to safely move the 774,000 pound super load through the town of Cocoa.

According to the Beyel Brothers crew, the load is 20 feet wide, 17 feet and six inches high, and a total of 240 feet long and required dozens of crew members and a police escort to make the successful and safe move.
