Trucker Arrested For Driving Company Truck After Being Terminated

A 24-year-old driver who refused to retrieve a load was terminated.  The driver then took off in the company truck.

The man was later was arrested.

According to KOMO News, the driver came to Marysville, Washington from Texas to pick up a load for TNT Trucking. Upon arrival, the unnamed 24-year-old driver got into a heated argument with the company officials. He then refused to retrieve the load.

TNT Trucking fired the man on the spot.

According to troopers, instead of leaving the truck in Marysville, as he was instructed, the driver took off with it.

The company was able to detect the truck via it’s GPS tracking device. The driver made it about 40 minutes south before the police stopped him on 1-405 in Bellevue.

According to KOMO news, the police were informed that the man allegedly had a rifle in the cab of the truck. Troopers were informed by the driver’s family members that the rifle was used only for safety and was not a threat.

The man was arrested without resistance, and no one was hurt.
