Family-owned truck stop to offer free Thanksgiving dinner to CDL holders

Published:

A truck stop in the greater Chicago area will be offering a free Thanksgiving dinner to truckers who aren’t able to be with their families over the holiday.

On Thursday, November 22, the Greater Chicago I-55 Truck Plaza will be offering a free turkey dinner to truck drivers from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Drivers who present a valid CDL to their server will receive a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, and corn bread. Apple or pumpkin pie will be available for $1.99 per slice.

The Greater Chicago I-55 Truck Plaza is located at 510 South Bolingbrook Drive in Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440.

Other truck stops that are offering free Thanksgiving dinner to CDL holders include Idaho’s Boise Stage Stop, which will be holding their 12th annual free Turkey Day event to show their appreciation for professional truck drivers.
