Pennsylvania police say that road rage is to blame for a truck vs. motorcycle crash that left one man severely injured yesterday.
The incident happened around 3:15 p.m. in a construction zone on northbound Route 61 in Berks County, Pennsylvania.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident began when 31 year old motorcyclist Timothy A. Hagedorn II made a sudden lane change in front of a tanker truck driven by 60 year old Gary L. Fisher in an apparent attempt to brake check the trucker.
Police say that Fisher immediately applied his brakes but wasn’t able to stop in time to avoid a collision with the motorcycle. Hagedorn was thrown from the motorcycle and wound up with his legs pinned underneath the truck’s right front tire.
It took rescue crews about 20 minutes to free Hagedorn. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries to his legs and left arm.
Route 61 was shut down for about five hours for clean up and investigation of the crash. Miles long traffic backups were reported.
It isn’t clear what led up to the road rage incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
