Watch as a Nebraska State Trooper’s defensive driving skills are put to the ultimate test when a semi truck crosses the center line into his lane earlier this week.
The Nebraska State Patrol describes the incident in the video:
“Dashcam video of the crash involving an NSP Trooper Monday near Benkelman on Highway 34.
As you can see, the trooper only has a split second to react to the semi crossing the center line. His defensive driving skills prevented an even more severe crash.

We’re happy to report the Trooper Scott is back to work already, after suffering only minor injuries, thanks to his quick actions.
While the crash is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office, it has been reported that the semi driver may have suffered a medical issue. We continue to hope for his speedy recovery.”
