New Samsung SD card allows for 43,000 hours of continuous recording

This SD card supports up to five years of continuous dash cam recording!

If you rely on your dash cam to back you up in case of a crash but find that your SD card is always dying, Samsung’s new PRO Endurance SD microSDHC/microSDXC card might be just the thing you need.

The Samsung PRO Endurance SD card can handle up to 43,800 hours (or five years) of continuous video recording, according to a press release issued this week. The product is “designed for consumers … who use intensive video monitoring applications such as surveillance and security cameras, body cameras and dash cams.”

Samsung says that capacity “offers 25 times higher endurance than previous speed-focused cards” and “sets a new standard for capacity with its 128GB of storage”.

To make the new technology even more trucker friendly, Samsung promises that the PRO Endurance SD card is designed tough — meaning that it is water, temperature, magnetic and x-ray-proof.

Suggested retail prices for the SD card are $89.99 for 128GB, $44.99 for 64GB and $24.99 for 32GB. You can click here for purchasing information from Samsung.
