OOIDA founder honored with memorial convoy in this stunning video

A group of truckers came together to honor the memory of late Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) founding member Jim Johnston with a memorial convoy.

The footage of the convoy was shot by Tex Crowley, who writes, “I had the pleasure of covering the inaugural convoy in remembrance of OOIDA’s Jim Johnston held in Springfield Ohio at the 2018 Buckeye Invitational Truck Show or #BITS2018. It’s a great show and I encourage you to make plans to join us in 2019!”

Johnston, who acted as OOIDA’s president since 1974, passed away in January, 2018, at the age of 78 following a battle with lung cancer.
