An image of a stranded United States Postal Service trailer captured on the Downtown Connector in Atlanta has gone viral on social media this week, leaving many users wondering if it is legitimate.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, you can believe your eyes.
Atlanta police received a call about the orphaned trailer on the I-75/85 southbound expressway around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. USPS later confirmed that the tractor hauling the trailer had broken down and that the company “worked quickly” to bring in a new truck to haul the trailer off of the interstate.
Naturally, Twitter seized the opportunity to poke some gentle fun at the postal service and the traffic in Atlanta.
I’m sure this won’t effect anything. pic.twitter.com/zvv2Ik7tCY
