Pennsylvania State Police say that 64 year William Kerr was walking through the parking lot when he was hit by a dump truck that was backing away from a fuel pump. The dump truck knocked Kerr to the ground. The dump truck driver, 75 year old Pittsburgh resident William T. Adams, did not realize that he had hit someone, so he continued backing up over the fallen pedestrian, then drove forward.
Adams was stopped by witnesses to the incident.
Kerr died at the scene. Butler Radio reports that he was also a truck driver.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
