UPDATE: Missing Kentucky trucker reported found in New Jersey

A 24 year old Kentucky trucker missing since June was reported found over the weekend.

After having been last seen by his family in late June, truck driver Austin Jones was reported “found” in New Jersey over the weekend, according to news station Lex18.

Jones’s aunt Shannon Downs told Lex18 that Jones was picked up by New Jersey police as he was walking down the road. Jones was reportedly taken to the hospital for treatment of severe dehydration.

Reports do not indicate why he wasn’t in contact with his family or why he left his truck at the truck stop in Dixon, Illinois.

Last week an Illinois State Trooper revealed that he gave Jones a ride and that Jones said that he was en route to New York.
