Prepass announces newest bypass service for truckers

Published:

Prepass has announced a brand new list of sites and upgrades for hundreds of thousands of trucks utilizing their services nationwide.

This array of new bypass services was released May 15, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona.

According to Prepass, they will soon allow their pass holders to bypass weigh stations in several new locations, including:

Indiana: Seymour NB I-65
Michigan: Grass Lake EB and WB I-94, and Pontiac SB I-75
Montana: Ramsay EB I-90
North Carolina: Charlotte SB I-85, Gaston County NB I-85, and Mt. Airy NB I-77
New Mexico: Texico WB US60/70/84
Oklahoma: Love County NB I-35
Texas: Kingsbury (Seguin) EB I-10
Wisconsin: Kenosha NB I-94 and Sparta EB I-90

With the assistance of HELP Inc., Prepass has added equipment upgrades and new weigh-in-motion (WIM) scales in Missouri (Bloomsdale SB 1-55) and New Mexico (Gallup EB I-40).

With their new technology, Missouri is now able to support WIMs at eight weigh stations to ensure accurate truck weight screening. When a WIM shows gross and axle weights to be within limit, truckers can bypass static scales, saving time and money.

HELP Inc. offers electronic toll payment options through PrePass Plus. INFORM™, a comprehensive data management suite, helps fleets understand and take action to improve their safety scores and reduce tolling impacts at no additional cost. HELP also offers a cost-efficient PrePass ELD service.

Prepass holders will need safety record validation prior to enrollment.

The PrePass MOTION app is en route. The app will give carriers the option to expand bypass opportunities using mobile devices, in conjunction with the PrePass transponder. This will be available for free to PrePass weigh station bypass subscribers.
