A truck driver lost his life in Clarksville, Indiana, this morning, after he crashed into a pedestrian bridge.
The deadly crash happened around 9 a.m. on Brown Station Way.

According to local news station WHAS11, several town residents tried to stop the Red Ball Recycling Truck before it crashed because they noticed that the truck’s bed was raised.
In images from the crash site, you can see that the bridge was completely demolished in the crash.

In a social media post, the town of Clarksville announced that the truck driver did not survive the crash. They wrote “Sad news to pass along. We have just learned that the driver of the truck was killed in the accident on Brown Station Way. Please pray for him and his family.”

The Indiana State Police and the Clarksville Police Department are working together on the investigation into the incident.
