Semi driver threatened with gun after denying request for water

Published:

A truck driver was allegedly threatened at gunpoint after refusing to give a man some water.

The incident occurred April 12, 2018 around 7:00 p.m. at the Pepsi building on Indianola Avenue in Youngstown, Ohio.

The truck driver was backing up to the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company loading bay when four men in red clothing pulled up behind his truck in a Mitsubishi Galant.

According to WKBN, one of the men in the car got out and asked the truck driver for water. When the truck driver refused, the man pulled a gun out of his waistband and pointed it at the trucker. The reported gunman then retreated back to his car and drove away as the police were called.

Officers tracked down a car with a matching description at a gas station on South Avenue. Police confirmed that everyone in the car was wearing red, but no gun was found.

The truck driver told authorities that he may have a dash cam video of the incident. Police are working to get surveillance video from Pepsi.
