Semi-trucks honor 3-year-old killed in lawnmower accident with 'Jack's last ride'

Semi truck drivers came together to pay tribute to Jack Laulainen, a 3-year-old boy who was tragically killed in a lawnmower accident in Snohomish County last week.

Jack’s funeral took place on May 2, 2018 in Monroe, Washington. The procession went from Paradise Lake Road in Maltby on 522 to Highway 2.

His father led the procession, driving a green semi truck with Jack’s casket in the back. A string of semi-trucks followed him for “Jack’s last ride.”

According to Q13 FOX, Jack Laulainen was riding on his dad’s lap on the lawnmower when he fell and was run over.

“Jack loved being around trucks and always wanted to be a truck driver,” said Jack’s father, Tim Laulainen. “I wanted to give him one last ride.”

Jack was laid to rest at Monroe IOOF cemetery.
