Suspect at large after shooting trucker for no reason

The driver was able to walk into the truck stop to get help.

A truck driver was shot in a parking lot in Dallas on Monday, leaving police searching for the suspect.

The incident happened in the early morning on November 5th in the Rylie neighborhood of Dallas, Texas.

According to Dallas Police, the trucker was parked at Marlow’s Truck Stop in the 2100 block of Silverado Drive near the CF Hawn Freeway when he was approached while walking away from his rig. The man asked the driver what he was doing and then pulled out a handgun, shooting the trucker in the arm. The driver was then able to walk to the truck stop and call the police.

Dallas News reports that the man had fled the scene before officers arrived and that the unnamed truck driver was promptly transported to a nearby hospital.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
