Terrifying South Carolina school bus vs. truck crash caught on dash cam

Published:

South Carolina public school officials have released dramatic dash cam video of a Greenville County school bus colliding with an out of control semi truck.

The crash happened on Tuesday afternoon around 3 p.m. when a big rig traveling northbound on Fairview Road lost control, running off the road and striking a power pole before crossing the center line, leaving the bus driver with nowhere to go to avoid the crash.

The bus was carrying four special needs students at the time of the crash.

Luckily, there were no serious injuries reported on the bus after the crash. Twenty-four year old truck driver Gary Mccan was hurt and taken to the hospital for treatment.

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers say that Mccan was charged for crossing the center line.
