Texas trucker in critical condition after being pinned at Kentucky truck stop

Published:

A Texas man was injured last night when he was pinned between two trucks at a truck stop in Walton, Kentucky.

The incident happened at the Flying J truck stop in Walton just before 6 p.m, according to Cincinnati.com.

Police say that 50 year old truck driver Jeffrey Kidwell was standing in the parking lot near the front driver’s side of his truck when the accident occurred. Another tractor trailer driven by 57 year old Florida based truck driver Nenad Madzarevic was parked next to Kidwell’s truck.

From Sherriff’s Office Spokesman Tom Scheben: “Madzarevic started forward to leave and in doing so swung wide in Kidwell’s direction. The rear of Madzarvic’s trailer hit Kidwell pinning him up against his truck.”

Kidwell was airlifted to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Madzarevic is cooperating with police in their investigation into what they have called “unfortunate accident.”
