Officers say the truck was driving down Winthrop Street around 5 a.m., when it hit a snowbank while trying to turn right onto Water Street. The truck also hit a light pole, knocking it into the window of a building. Police say the truck then took off, but the whole thing was captured on a nearby surveillance camera.
The incident occurred near Berry’s real estate business and a basement bar called the Easy Street Lounge. The first floor of the building is vacant, but residents upstairs heard the crash. No one in the building was hurt.
