Crews in Brockport, New York, had to work for more than six hours today to remove a truck that became seriously stuck under a railroad bridge.
According to the Brockport Police Department, the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. when a truck hauling broccoli attempted to pass under a CSX railroad bridge on Main Street. The trailer was seriously damaged by the bridge strike and the truck became firmly wedged under the structure.
In a Facebook post about the stuck truck, the Brockport Police Department wrote: “PSA the bridge clearance is 11’10”.
No injuries were reported.
This isn’t the first time that a truck has run afoul of the bridge in Brockport and the locals took to Facebook to crack a few jokes about the situation.
Others pointed out that you can’t always trust clearance signs — especially in New York.
