Trucker killed after plunging 200 feet into Eagle Canyon

The Utah Highway Patrol says that a truck driver died over the weekend when his truck crashed off of I-70 and fell hundreds of feet into Eagle Canyon below.

The crash happened late Saturday night in Emery County, Utah, according to KUTV.

Utah troopers say that 42 year old Nevada-based truck driver Thomas Bowler was traveling along I-70 near mile marker 118 when his truck crashed over a concrete barrier and plunged down 200 feet into Eagle Canyon below.

Bowler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash.
