A recent dash cam footage shows a trucker deciding to swerve into the median in order to avoid a potential collision due to a loose bale of hay on the interestate.
The dash cam video was shared by YouTube user cableandchain on November 17.
In the video, you can see the truck traveling in the lefthand lane of the interstate when traffic ahead starts to suddenly slow. It soon becomes clear that a loose hay bale in the roadway has drivers panicking and slamming on their brakes. A grey sedan comes to such a sudden stop that the dash cammer is left with little choice but to steer his vehicle into the median.
The truck threatened to pass through the grassy median into oncoming traffic on the other side of the interstate, but the cable barrier did its job and brought the truck to a stop in dramatic fashion.
