Michigan State Police say that seventeen semi trucks and twelve passenger vehicles were involved in a pileup crash on westbound I-94 near Hartford this morning.
MSP Advises Drivers To Use Extra Care In Snowy Weather.
Police say that winter weather had created limited visibility conditions at the time of the pileup, which happened at about 9:20 a.m.
At least one person has been taken to the hospital. The full extent of injuries is still unknown.
I-94 was shut down for hours but reopened at about 1 p.m.
The Michigan State Police reminds drivers to use extra caution when the weather is bad:
“The MSP reminds drivers to exercise extra care when driving in snowy conditions. Reducing speed and increasing following distance between vehicles allows drivers time to react to hazards which can prevent these multi-vehicle crashes.”
