The fire started around 1 p.m. at the Travel Centers of America (TA) outside of Barstow, California.

Barstow City Spokesman Anthony Riley told the VV Daily Press that it is believed that the fuel pumps somehow caught fire as while the trucks were parked next to them. The fire spread, destroying one truck and seriously damaging another.

It took fire fighters about 45 minutes to control the blaze, but they were able to put a stop to the fire before it spread to the TA store and maintenance building. Three fuel pumps were destroyed and the awning of the truck stop was damaged by the flames.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Riley said that there will be no truck fueling at the back of the TA until further notice.

Authorities say that one of the trailers was empty and the other was filled with glass products.

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
