Canadian authorities have announced that an American truck driver was arrested on the Ambassador Bridge on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to bring several firearms across the border.
According to the Canada Border Services Agency, officers on the Windsor side of the bridge discovered and seized “3 handguns, 2 semi-automatic rifles and 17 over-capacity magazines” from an American trucker attempting to make the border crossing.
The truck driver was arrested and will face charges.
Canadian officials are reminding U.S. drivers to leave their guns at home when they attempt to cross the border.
