A motorist’s dash cam captured stunning footage of a police pursuit that ended when the suspect’s car collided with a semi truck hauling three trailers, causing a violent crash I-15 on Tuesday morning.
The incident began at a Syracuse, Utah, Walmart when police were called about a suspicious passenger vehicle, according to local news station KSL. After the officer ran the vehicle’s license plates, he learned that the vehicle’s owner had several outstanding warrants. The suspect fled the scene and police pursued the vehicle onto I-15. The pursuit came to a stop when the suspect’s car collided with a semi truck.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
The car driver, 24 year old Marcus Anthony Zavala, was arrested and charged for driving without a valid license, driving with an expired license, and suspicion of failure to stop for a police officer. Three other people inside the car were also arrested for various outstanding warrants.
