Surveillance cameras at a business in Paw Paw, Michigan, caught incredible footage of a truck hauling scrap metal overturning, sliding through the parking lot, and nearly striking the building.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. on October 1 in front of Walt & Marie’s Country Market and Café in Paw Paw, Michigan.
The truck driver told local news station WWMT that he took a turn too quickly as he was traveling east on Red Arrow Highway, causing the truck full of scrap metal parts to overturn on the passenger side and to slide through the business parking lot.
The entire load of scrap metal spilled out onto the roadway. The building sustained some structural damage in the crash.
No serious injuries were reported.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing but Michigan State Police say that the truck driver is likely to face charges.
