Arkansas transportation officials were called out to inspect a bridge after video surfaced showing the structure sagging under the weight of a way-too-heavy bus.
The incident occurred on Saturday, October 13 in Beaver, Arkansas, according to Fox 6 Now. The Arkansas Department of Transportation said in a tweet that the bus weighed 35 tons while the weight limit of the bridge is 10 tons. The average weight of a tour bus is typically closer to 20 tons.
There are several signs leading up to the bridge warning drivers about the weight limit.
Remarkably, the Arkansas DOT says that they did not find any structural damage when they inspected the bridge after the bus crossed over.

It isn’t clear whether the bus driver or company will be cited.
The Beaver Bridge is a one lane suspension bridge that was built in 1949. It is the only suspension bridge open to traffic in the state of Arkansas.
