Virginia police say that a trucker opened fire on a pickup

Published:

Virginia police say that a Georgia truck driver has been charged for allegedly shooting at a pickup truck on I-95 in Chesterfield County over the weekend.

The suspected road rage incident happened at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 23.

State police say that 26 year old Atlanta-based truck driver Terrelle M. Jackson was southbound on I-95 at mile marker 67 when he cut off a pickup truck. After cutting off the pickup, police say that Jackson changed lanes and pulled up along side the pickup and that Jackson then opened fire on the pickup.

The 51 year old pickup driver wasn’t hurt and pulled off the interstate to call police.

Authorities soon located Jackson at a gas station in Chesterfield. He was arrested without incident.

Jackson has been charged with attempted malicious wounding, shooting from a vehicle, and brandishing a firearm.

Virginia State Police are still investigating the incident, according to WTVR.
