Watch as hundreds of thirsty cows flock to water truck

Published:

In this incredible drone footage, a herd of hundreds of cows swarms around a water truck to try to get a drink.

The footage was shared by Burrabogie Livestock and Contracting on August 4, but it was shot back in May.

The video was captured in New South Wales, Australia, which is experiencing what is thought to be the worst drought in 400 years.

Amber Lea of Burrabogie Livestock and Contracting told the Mercury that she has to drive more than an hour to collect enough water to keep her herd of over 12000 cows alive: “Watering points on the river or allocated watering troughs were too low, or the mills had stopped pumping and there was no supply. The tanker and trough was the only source of water for the cattle we were carting 100,000 litres of water every day for their survival, often having to drive 50 to 70 kms one way to get water for them.”
