The moment that a stuck truck was hit hard by a train in Texas this week was caught on camera by a passerby.
The crash happened around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, in Midland, Texas, according to CBS 7.
Authorities say that the truck became high-centered at a railroad crossing at Warehouse Road and West Industrial Avenue.
A spokesperson for Union Pacific says that the truck driver did the right thing in getting out of the stuck truck and calling 911 immediately. Thyankfully, no injuries were reported.
A man who witnessed the incident explained what he saw:
“When traveling, I noticed a semi truck high centered on the tracks. I noticed the driver running down the tracks, flagging the train to stop. I pulled over just in time to see the train make contact with the truck.”
